Alexander the Grammarian taught me not to be ruggedly Critical about Words, nor fall foul upon People for improprieties of Phrase, or Pronunciation. But to set them right, by speaking the Thing properly my self, and that either by way of Answer, Assent, or Enquiry; or by some such other remote, and Gentlemanly Correction.
